Online anxiety counselling across the UK | Based in Manchester
For when you're feeling anxious, worried or overwhelmed

Anxiety counselling
I'm Paul (he/him). I offer online anxiety counselling for adults across the UK, based in Manchester.
Anxiety can take up a lot of space in your life. You might find yourself worrying about the future or going over things from the past, making it difficult for you to switch off.
Together, we can understand what's keeping the worry going and find ways to manage it.

What might be going on for you
Anxiety can affect people in different ways. Some of the things you might be experiencing include:
-
Going over conversations or decisions long after they've happened
-
Worrying about what might go wrong
-
Feeling constantly on edge or finding it hard to relax
-
Worrying about how other people see you
-
Being hard on yourself or feeling you have to get everything right
-
Avoiding situations because they feel overwhelming
-
Experiencing panic or sudden periods of intense anxiety
-
Difficulty sleeping or noticing the physical effects of anxiety
You might recognise yourself in some of these experiences, or your anxiety might show up differently. Whatever brings you to counselling, we can explore it together at your pace.

What counselling with me is like
Counselling with me is a conversation. My approach is person-centred, which means the focus is on you and what matters to you.
I’ll listen, ask questions and help you make sense of what’s going on, with enough space for you to explore things in your own way.
Together, we can explore how your experiences have affected you and work towards meaningful change in how you feel about yourself and your relationships.

My experience
I work as a counsellor with LGBT Foundation in Manchester and previously mentored LGBTQ+ young people through The Proud Trust.
My own experiences as a gay man with a disability are also part of what brought me to become a counsellor. I know how tiring it can be to feel different or misunderstood, and I care about creating a space where you can speak openly and feel accepted as you are.
I completed my Master's in Counselling and Psychotherapy with Distinction at the University of Salford and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP 414519).
