Online neurodiversity counselling across the UK | Based in Manchester
For when you're feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed or unsure of yourself

Neurodiversity counselling
I’m Paul (he/him). I offer online counselling for neurodivergent adults across the UK from my practice in Manchester.
You may have an autism or ADHD diagnosis, or you might be beginning to wonder whether you're neurodivergent. Perhaps you've spent years feeling misunderstood or trying to meet expectations that don't work for you.
You don't need a formal diagnosis to explore any of this in counselling.

What might be going on for you
Everyone's experience is different. Some of the things you might want to explore include:
-
Feeling exhausted by masking or trying to fit in
-
Sensory overwhelm or finding certain environments difficult
-
Burnout or feeling under pressure from everyday demands
-
Difficulties with planning or keeping on top of tasks
-
Feeling misunderstood in relationships or struggling to express your needs
-
Loneliness or feeling that you don't quite belong
-
Shame or self-criticism shaped by past experiences
-
Making sense of a diagnosis or exploring whether you might be neurodivergent
You might also be dealing with anxiety or low mood, or want to talk about something unrelated to neurodivergence. We can focus on whatever matters to you.

What counselling with me is like
Counselling with me is a conversation. My approach is person-centred, which means the focus is on you and what matters to you.
I’ll listen, ask questions and help you make sense of what’s going on, with enough space for you to explore things in your own way.
Together, we can explore how your experiences have affected you and work towards meaningful change in how you feel about yourself and your relationships.

My experience
I work as a counsellor with LGBT Foundation in Manchester and previously mentored LGBTQ+ young people through The Proud Trust.
My own experiences as a gay man with a disability are also part of what brought me to become a counsellor. I know how tiring it can be to feel different or misunderstood, and I care about creating a space where you can speak openly and feel accepted as you are.
I completed my Master's in Counselling and Psychotherapy with Distinction at the University of Salford and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP 414519).
